Hello, everyone! My name is hematite. I'm 20 years old. I'm a kind of iron oxide, and I am the major ore mineral. I'm one of the most economically important minerals. Maybe someone is not familiar with me. So I will make a self-introduction to you. Hope you can know me.
I occupy a very important position in the iron ore. My application is also very wide. My beneficiation technology is diverse. A long time ago, my ancestor had been used by people. Since ancient times, the beneficiation technology has been in the development. The following is my ancestor and my main beneficiation processing.
In the early, the hematite ore dressing general use the gravity separation process. The main machines have jigging machine, centrifugal separator, spiral chute, spiral concentrator, shaking table etc. In a long time, my ancestor uses this separation method. Afterward, this method is abandoned, because it has too many disadvantages. Treatment capacity is small. The grade is low. Ore dressing recovery rate is low. So it is gradually eliminated.
With the science and technology development, the beneficiation technology has a new progress. Hematite ore dressing develops the flotation process and the strong magnetic separation process. It is mainly to use the oxidized paraffin soap as the collector, and the magnetic separator with electromagnetic flat ring high intensity. But its separating technical indexes do not reach the satisfactory effect.
After all these years of development, the power of science and technology is stronger and stronger. And our application is much broader. In recent years, the hematite mineral processing has made great strides in development. Its main mineral processing is strong magnetic dressing process and reverse flotation beneficiation process. The former is represented by the electromagnetic pulsating high gradient magnetic separator. Especially the use of strong magnetic - flotation combined process makes some mines hematite sorting reach the iron concentrate grade 65%, and satisfactory index of recovery rate of iron ore 85%.
